Converse First String x Nigel Cabourn Chuck Taylor 70s

Mar 26th 2014

Continuing their partnership and offering up a third installment, Nigel Cabourn and Converse are back together for spring and summer '14.In the past the pair have churned out some of the best reinventions we've ever seen and this season it's the Chuck Taylor 70s silhouette that's been placed on Cabourn's radar. Utilizing a windproof Ventile fabric, Nigel Cabourn has equipped the shoe with confident weather resistance in line with his outerwear sensibilities.

As well as being fit for purpose it's a well executed design in terms of aesthetic too. Everything is as it should be with such a classic silhouette and thankfully nothing has been replaced despite it being a colab. The Chuck Taylor's details are actually accentuated by the simplistic colourway with white running throughout and pops of coral adding the appeal. The whole affair is rounded off with a premium air thanks to the reinforced hardware and archived branding on the heel tab.

You may remember the last two Cabourn collaborations and recall that numbers were particularly tight. Well, the same is true of round three as we launch these at 00:01GMT Friday March 28th. Stay ready over on the website in order to secure your pair.

Nike Air Max 1 'Air Max Day'

Mar 25th 2014

Paying tribute to a seminal design and 27 years of history, Nike have created the 'Air Max Day'. It was on the 26th March exactly 27 years ago that one of the greatest footwear designs ever was born and since then we've enjoyed watching it grow in popularity. Despite it's appeal growing the silhouette has remained largely unchanged, always with the same sole unit and simple paneling intact.

Just like flicking through an old photo album on your birthday, Nike have called upon the past to celebrate it's 27th anniversary. Replicating the OG colourway and the Air Max 1's unchallenged shape Nike have retained everything that's great about the shoe and blessed it with a pop of Volt Green. Another tweak is also present in the form of the commemorative tongue branding but besides these small additions it appears here in it's purest form.

As you might anticipate, numbers for the 'Air Max 1 Day' are particularly tight and we're one of very few stockists worldwide with access to the release. Stay tuned to the website as these launch at 00:01GMT 26/3.

Nike Air Woven Footscape QS YOTH

Mar 21st 2014

Nike's Air Footscape Woven design is undoubtedly one of the most weird and wonderful silhouettes on the brand's roster. Retaining the shoe's appeal Nike have released it sparingly since it's inception allowing each rendition to become coveted classics. As part of this week's Quickstrike release the Footscape Woven is treated to a Chinese New Year make-up.

Having already released a striking Cortez and a lifestyle version of a Kobe, Nike's Year Of The Horse pack is starting to shape up with this one being the highlight. Whilst the silhouette remains exactly the same in terms of the sole unit and panel construction, the materials used and the printed sections bring it into a new dimension. As well as the patent leather panels and the Oriental branding throughout an abstract print is also positioned on the upper making sure that not only is it comfortable but it looks impeccable too.

As you might expect this particular QS release comes in tight numbers. However, the Nike Air Woven Footscape YOTH is now available both in-store and online.

Nike ACG Lunar Incognito

Mar 13th 2014

Channeling 90s outdoor vibes and teaming them with modern comfort and technology, the ACG Lunar Incognito is a work of art. Nike have been on somewhat of a run lately when it comes to beefing up old favourites but the arrival of an all new ACG model has certainly took us by surprise. ACG releases are few and far between but that's not to say there is no demand for well designed outdoor shoes. Just like Nike's previous outdoor output, the Lunar Incognito boasts quirky looks and serious credentials.

The first point of interest and possibly the shoe's most prominent feature is the heavy duty sole unit. This is deceptively light and although the under-sole is rigid and hard wearing, comfort is still retained through it's Lunarlon tooling. Such a great sole needs an equally impressive upper and the Incognito boasts just that too. As well as being blessed with supportive Flywire the upper also features bonded panels for a sufficient level of water resistance and protection. Furthermore, a sock lining is present and the lacing system is overlaid by printed tape. Tasteful finishings include classic ACG branding to the heel and tongue and the end result is an adventurous classic.

Both colourways of the Nike ACG Lunar Incognito willl be available online in limited numbers at midnight. (00:01GMT 14/3/14).
