Clarks Originals x Atmos Japan Harris Tweed Weavers

Dec 14th 2010

Due to start arriving in the new year is a new take on a now cult classic. Possibly one of the best selling styles from the Originals collection (well, for us anyway!) Clarks have joined forces with famous Japanese boutique/brand Atmos on the classic that is the Weaver Boot.

An absolute winner across the board, the Weaver was first introduced way back in 1968 with the introduction of blanket stitching and collar detailing on top of the iconic Wallabee silhouette. For this edition, Atmos have added a luxury black Harris Tweed upper with suede detailing, and of course sat on the unmistakable crepe sole unit.

The RRP for the shoe is expected to be £99.99 and will be produced in super limited numbers. If you would like to register your interest, then please send us a quick email to steve@triads.co.uk or call our store on +44 (0) 1642 254124 and select option 2.

Toy Watch - The Rolex of a Twisted Generation!!

Dec 09th 2010

Everyone needs a good time piece, thats a fact. Sure, we all have a mobile phone to tell us the time but it just isn't the same. I mean, pulling out the latest Blackberry or Iphone just doesn't cut it anymore, especially in front of someone you are trying to impress. So in the famous words of a certain Rocky Balboa - "if you like having a good time, then you need a good watch". Indeed. He may of been a little punch drunk after his epic battle with Creed, "what!! what, you mean Rocky wasn't real?" - but he had a good point. So with this in mind, it might just be the last time to tell a loved one that all you want for Christmas is a new watch.

Of course, a new Breitling, Omega or Rolex will probably be out of the question for most, and maybe even if you had the choice to purchase one of the previous, you might just feel that they are something more suited to your "old man". So why not buy something that looks very similar, in styling anyway with a tongue-in-cheek twist, will not break the bank and can be bought in a whole host of crazy colours. Step forward Toy Watch.

We would probably best describe Toy Watch as "Rolex meets Swatch" - they certainly have the famous design characteristics of a Rolex, well the Submariner and Daytona in general, with the added "wackiness" of the Swatch creations (they have in fact become highly collectable just like Swatch). But these are new to us at Triads so to give you a little further insight into the company itself, we feel it best to hand you over to their Italian creators:

"Born from a desire to bring a new philosophy into reality, Toy Watch offers something that goes well beyond mere mechanical beauty. Accustomed to dealing with time on a continuous basis, with the passion that has always set them apart, Mara Poletti and Marco Mavilla find a perfect symbiosis with fashion and the passing of time."

"Toy Watch watches, pioneering and indispensable, use a mix of materials, from ageless classical steel to high-strength, ultralight, high-tech polycarbonate, to cater to the preferences of purists and demanding collectors. The combination of materials, extreme attention to details and artfully balanced shapes are the features that have won the hearts of many the world over. Everything is just perfect: stylish hands, cases enriched by enamelled dials with mother-of-pearl reflections, unidirectional bezels in brushed steel, straps in polycarbonate combining the purity of the artificial mineral stones".

This is probably THE item to have in your Christmas stocking this year, so don't keep it to yourself, let others know just how much you want one!!

AND DONT FORGET THAT WE ARE NOW OFFERING FREE UK STANDARD SHIPPING ON ALL PURCHASES FROM TODAY UP TO AND INCLUDING XMAS EVE!! THINGS JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER FOR YOU LUCKY PEOPLE!!
